My basic question is this.

I want to run 4 instances of World of Warcraft on 1 PC.

I have the following rig;

E8400
Asus P5k-E
2GB Kingston HyperX DDR2 1066
8800 GTS 640MB
OCZ StealthXStream 600W

Nothing spectacular, but it should run 4 instances at minimum resolution.

So my basic question is...which item is most responsible for boosting multi application performance? Is it processor? Should I get a Q9600 for the 4 cores? Is it RAM? Should I ugrade to 4GB, even though XP only sees 3? It is video card? Should I upgrade to a 4870? Or even a 4870X2?

I dont want to (and cant afford to in this economy) to upgrade everything.

Which upgrade would serve me best do you think?

In the old days i used to run 2-6 instances of Asheron's Call at once.... I found when i upgraded my ram to 4 gigs (mega $ back then) everything ran WAY better. Also, of course drop your resolutions down all the way.

I can only assume you are running a bot of sorts?

Get 4 gigs of ram

Perhaps some WOW Glider action going on there?
