My specs:

EVGA X58 mobo
Core i7 920

I'm having problems installing the Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer. Or it might not be a problem at all, I might just be paranoid... Bear with me please, I'm new to all this and my explanations might come off not sounding right.

You know how when you install the i7 920 regularly, you have to bear down on that pin on the mobo after you get the CPU seated and the latch closed? You have to apply a little pressure to get it closed and to lock the pin in place.

Well, I installed a 1366 Retention Bracket( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] -_-Product ) so I could install the Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] -_-Product ), and now when I sit the CPU into place with the bracket installed, it takes no pressure to close it and the little pin just falls right into place with no strength used to force it down at all.

Is this normal? Is it supposed to be like that? Will the Core Contact Freezer hold the CPU in place? I could probably find out by just going ahead and installing the cooler but I thought I should ask about it here first instead of jumping right into it.

I hope my explanation can be understood as I really need help with this. Thanks in advance!
