Currently, I am awaiting a computer from eBay with a phenom 9500 that currently runs at 2.2ghz. I would like to get it up to around 2.5 but I have no idea where to start, or what to do at all. Specs are as follows:

Gateway GT5658e
nForce 6150 chipset
motherboard ??
2x500gb hdd
3gb ram
phenom x4 as listed above
currently, raedon HD 2400xt, will upgrade

buzz??

motherboard ??

Well, I'm guessing Gateway is about as popular as a hole in the head (or Dell where I am). There seems to be little information out there about the motherboard and BIOS menus. A pdf of the manual would be good, but I can only find a user guide.

So you're limited to raising the clock from 200MHz to whatever you can squeeze of of it. Most of these Phenom 9xxx's can groan out an extra 0.4 to 0.6GHz from stock without too much hassle.

It would be good to have some idea of the BIOS menu and settings to help further.
