I take it by 1080i25 they really mean 1080/50i - I'm not sure I could cope
with 25 fields (12.5 frames) a second!

If that is the case then no real surprises - 720/50p and 1080/50i are both
Australian HD standards (they also have 576/50p as well as 576/50i SDTV) and
hardly that different from the US 720/60p and 1080/60i - apart from the
obvious frame-rate differences.

More interesting will be the choice of broadcast compression system.
