Three year old maxtor external hard drive

It was working fine until yesterday, the drive appears to have no power. I unplugged the unit and tried another outlet, no go, can i get a replacement power source for it?

Check the power output of the power brick with a voltmeter or DMM, it should be a little more than the rated output printed on the brick. Check the Maxtor site for a replacement. You might be able to save some money at Radio Shack; take the brick and drive to them and see if they have a replacement that will work.
