Can someone explain how this works in English?

I'd also like to know if this technology will be enough to run games like Half-Life 2 at max settings; and if it will last me more than a few years before becoming "outdated"/struggling to run the newer games.

Hybrid SLI will be of no use running current high-end games.
It requires a lower end card to work with the built in GPU.

What is of interest, is Hybrid Power.
This can shut down your High Power GPU when not gaming and go interna graphics.

its not good theory.

I believe that Hybrid SLI works when you have a mobo that features integrated graphics.

Like zenmaster said - It uses your powerful GPU when you are doing graphics intensive work (games, video editing, etc). When you are not doing anything graphics intensive, it will shut down the GPU completely and use the motherboard's integrated graphics.

Hope that explains it simply.

The savings could be quite a lot, something like 40W - 60W for high end video cards. It's perfect for a 24/7 system that's used to game.
