And also ,can the cpu be dameged when cleaned? I cleaned the pins surface contact and the thermal paste on it too.
Is it dameged or dead? How can A cpu be killed?

Highly unlikely unless you hit it with some static discharge.
You can clean the thermal paste with isopropyl alcohol and all will be well.

I hope your CPU is fine.
A static wrist guard is a good bit of kit
that should be used whenever your handling components.
ounce of prevention and all
:non: don't pick your nose, don't put things in your ears, don't screw wt the connectors on your cpu or chipset.

You are kidding, aren't you?

Ever walk across the floor and touch a metallic object and get shocked? That's Electro Static Discharge.
Electro Static Discharge or ESD can damage electronics.

Always unplug your power supply from the AC outlet and ground yourself before opening your system up.

or if you are brave your can stick your wrist strap into the ground of the wall socket...

Do not ever do that.

Ever.

That is very stupid advice to give a user.

Never mess with wall outlets.

^uh, try again. Thats how it works. You plug your wrist strap into the GROUND of the wall socket. Then you're securely grounded.

Hmm just been reading this as im wondering if another CPU I have is blown without having another PC to hand how qould I know its blown?? I did post about my problem but no-one has replied

CPUs don't "BLOW"!
They rarely ever stop working for any reason. But in the rare occasion that they do, its because static electricity got to one of the transistors inside the die. Highly unlikely, but it does happen.
