I have an A8S-x SE mobo coupled with and amd fx-60 dual core processor, I have an 8800 GTX gpu and was wondering if I would be able to get another 8800 GTX and run it in SLI, it doesn't say anywhere that I can or can't, but it has 2 extra pci-e 1x slots.

8800 gt's in sli perform better than a single gtx 280 so i figured i could try and save some money and by another 8800 to upgrade.

Thanks in advance

No your motherboard doesnt support SLI sorry :( SLI requires 2xPCI-E 16x slots and you only have one.
