My new build; advice welcome.

This machine that I am building is mainly for multimedia, audio/video editing. Some gaming as well i.e WoW and COD4. I am also planning to crossfire the graphics cards some time in the future. I am not sure if the PSU I listed will support dual 4870s... Any thoughts on this? Thanks!

Here is what I came up with after trolling the forums for a week... :D

Items I already have:
CPU: Q9450 2.66Ghz $329.99
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4 $224.99
Case: Lian Li PC - A17B $179.99
Case Fan: Xigmatek XLF-F1253 R (2x) $8.99
Memory: Corsair Dominator 2GB (2x1GB) 1066 $FREE

Wish List:
PSU: Corsair 750w (is this enough?)

CPU Cooler: Xigmatek HDT-S1283 (w/ retainer bracket)

HDD: WD Caviar SE16 500G 7200

DVD Drive: Blu-Ray/DVD SATA drive

OS: Vista Ultimate 64-bit

GPU: Saphire Radeon 4870

RAM: Corsair Dminator (2GB 2x1GB) 1066

More about build advice welcome
  1. The 750TX is fine for crossfired 4870s
    Better choice for RAM
    nice build
  2. I agree with dirtmountain on the RAM. That's what's in my rig, and it runs flawlessly. He's also right about the PSU; 750W is fine for a pair of HD4870s.
  3. Thanks guys. I was debating on whether to get a 750 or 1000w PSU. this will save me about $130 by going with the 750w.

I went with the Corsair Dominator because I already have 2GB of it. It was from a Dell XPS 630i that had to downngrade to XP (4GB to 2GB)and I just happen to be at the right place and time to get them for free. The IT guy at work gave them to me to start off my build... so I am going to stick to those for now...
