Nero music cd how to?

Hi. I'm new to the music ripping/burning scene (got my first burner last week).

If I want to take some songs off of a few of my music cd's & burn them onto a single cdr, how would I do this? I have tried a few times & all have failed to play in any of my cd players (other than the cdrom in my computer).

What I do is load a music cd into my cdrom & "drag" selected tracks (which have cda file extension) from the right pane of Nero (where tracks are listed) into the left pane. The total time shown by Nero is about 67 minutes. Once I have finished with selecting songs, I burn the cd.
This cd however will not play in any other player. What is strange (to me anyways) is if I explore the newly created cd in WinExplorer I find that every single file (song) is 44 bytes in size (2 kbytes is shown as "on disk" size) & has a cda file extension name.

Can anyone lend a helping hand & point me in the right direction? By the way I'm using Nero version 5.5.4.0.

Cheers,

Ron_Jeremy

If you loan a friend $20 & never see them again, it was worth it.

seems you are doing everything right, but did you CLOSE the cd? if not, that could be the problem, also a lot of mome hifi's wont read cdrw. A cda extension is cd audio, and they do show up as 44bytes.
