"U.S. phone companies have been held back partly by a lack of access to
video content, Willis said. To solve that, he said, they are teaming
with satellite providers to offer DSL high-speed Internet over phone
lines and video service via satellite".

This combination failed miserably when DirecTV tried it.

I don't see this happening, unless they've solved the "one user / one
stream" problem that has plagued internet radio for all these years. Oh,
this is IMHO and I could be wrong in thinking the provider is limited in
audience by the total number of streams he can provide. If there has been a
change in this I will cheerfully say

"I was a complete ass to assume and I look forward to internet broadcasting
of both radio and HDTV"

Believe me, I *PRAY* each HDTV stream (and radio by association) can have an
unlimited audience. However, I'm a realist and a pessimist (and a Goth,
goes hand in hand really).
