e8600 or the q9550

Ok so I am getting a new cpu and cant decide
This is just for gamming,mostly mmo type games. I dont really care about the whole future proofing thing cause I will probably just get something new in the next few years if i am lucky And also If the 8600 is the choice is it really better than the 8500,cause that one is around 75.00 cheaper. This would be all on a new motherboard to.

Q9550. I dont think the E8600 is worth that "premium" price, but the E8500 is totally worth it. So.....E8500

I have to agree.
If I were building a new system tomorrow i would go E8400 or e8500
on a p45 chipset.
my reason being; I would be using the board and Cpu for less than 6 months
