Alright something's clearly wrong with my video card because I've been getting a lot of glitchiness especially in modern, demanding games. (old 2d stuff not really)

I've narrowed the problem down to a heat issue. What can I do to temporarily fix this? I've tried blowing air into the computer with a regular fan (with the case off) but that doesn't seem to help enough.

I really have almost no cash ATM (waiting for the end of the month ) so I'm just looking for a "quick fix". Thought about sticking a ziplocked bag of icecubes on top but was worried it might drip water into it.

Ideas?

I have a Nvidia 7900 GS btw.

Download and install Rivatuner and turn up the fan speed, set it to around 70% at first and monitor things from there.

Increase fan speed manually. This can be done using software utilities, like Rivatuner.
