Hey,

I overclocked my AMD Phenom II X4 955 to 3.6 Ghz the other day (On air with a V8). It runs perfectly smooth and overclocked fine without needing any change in the voltage but I was wondering, is it ok to keep it at stock voltage (1.35V)? Could I damage it if it's overclocked but staying at the same voltage? I appreciate the help.

^ Overclocking with stock voltages is the best thing to do...Increase the CPU voltage only if it is unstable...
Just run any CPU stressing apps like the Prime95...If those run well, then your CPU is stable @ that voltage and at that speed...

You should take a look at this article...

Ya I already tested it all. Thanks for the reply, I was just a bit worried since it was my first time overclocking something. Turns out I'm quite lucky then :ange:
