  1. Hello and welcome to the forums mate :)

For the brand of GPU,it doesnt matter, both ASUS and GIGABYTE are good.

    For RAM,brands like OCZ,CORSAIR,GEIL,G.SKILL,CRUCIAL..... are good,go for a DDR2 800 RAM with 4-4-4-x or lower timings.
  2. awesome! thanks for the advice and to shadow - that is a great guide youve written there mate!! cheers to all.

cant wait to get this system going
  3. is that mushkin any good? it has 5-4-4-12??
  4. so which is the better choice? this mushkin at 5-4-4-12 @1..8v

or this GSKILL at 5-5-5-15 at 1.8V

im just really confused, ive been reading OC guides for days straight now.

i get the lower timings are better . . . but dont see any reviews of the mushkin from p35 board owners.

just trying to get some last minute advice before i pull the trigger - i want newegg to get this to me by sat!!!
  5. Did you check to see if gigabyte had tested the RAM on the board? Always helps.

The Mushkin is technically the better RAM.

Neither RAM has been tested by Gigabyte. Doesn't mean they are bad. You could go to their list and pick out something they say works with their board if you want:

  6. pulled the trigger on teh gskill - lots of good reviews and compatibility with the p35 board

thanks to all --- time to start modding the antec 900!!
