I actually posted here a while back a build i was interested in doing, but i ran into some obstables so i decided to wait a bit longer.

Well, its time

I went ahead and ordered an antec 1200 for 160 w/ shipping, and am now about to buy the rest of the parts

if i buy all from newegg its 1157 $.

What do you guys thing? Also is there a better hd for the same price? I dont plan on OCing yet, but probably in the future. Is there anything else missing? artic silver?

DVD burner ? Get SATA
Build looks good, might check out the E8500, they might have dropped in price from last time you looked. I'd go with this RAM instead DDR2 800, cheaper and runs at stock 1.8v

For a future overclock you'll want to think ahead to a cooling solution.
Add a good heat sink & fan now while its easy to get too. Will keep the CPU nice and cool at stock speeds too.

You shouldnt need any extra thermal compound unless you take the HSF out and replace it again. Arctic Cooling MX-2 is a bit better than AS5 IMO. Non-conductive, easy to apply and no cure time.
