hey guys i was wondering if you have some suggestion on how to over clock my CPU?

My system: MB P5QL-CM - Q9550 Quad @ 2.8 - memory 6400 - HD 4870 X2 - vista 32bit 650W power supply, CPU fan ZALMAN CNPS9900LED .

So i was wondering if i could overclock to 3.0 no water cooling. one other thing is that if i used the auto 5% overclock it goes to 2.9 which i think is pretty good. if i used 10% the system won't boot. what i want to know is if there is a safer way to do it or should i stick to 5%?

and will my system last more than 2 years with this overclock (5% or 3.0)?
thanks to all of you who take the time to read and reply. you know who you are !!!

There is better and safer way - its manual overclocking thru BIOS - but that requires getting some basic info, here is a good start - http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/foru [...] _11_0.html

Your cpu is a good overclocker and 3ghz, well, im sure it will do way more than that if youre willing to put in some effort.
