First...

Here is a link to my motherboard. The new egg pics work well. My question is this. I am pretty sure I should be connecting the PSU to the EATX 12V plug in the corner of the Mobo. Lower left corner using newegg pic orientation. The plug is an 8pin plug with a 4pin removable cap. My PSU has a 4 and 8pin plug. Does it matter which one I use?

Second...

The only connections I know about that can damage the board is by flopping USB and IEEE 1394 plugs. Are there any other issues I should be extremely cautious about when making all the connections inside the case? I think I am ready to power on so I want to make sure I don't do anything stupid.

Your board (P5Q Pro) only needs a 4 pin CPU.

Don't plug in the floppy power to the fan headers!  Believe it or not, I have seen someone actually do this (good thing they called me before powering up or else the DQ6 would have been badly hurt).

Also don't forget to use the motherboard standoffs.

Also are these things bought already? Mind listing full specs (esp. PSU)?

I can provide links for any of these if this doesn't give enough info. Not sure what you won't need to see or will not want to see. Didn't want to copy/paste all the names and link locations unnecessarily.

What are Motherboard standoffs? Are they the risers underneath for attaching to the case?

And I don't have a floppy drive. Didn't think I would need one. Hopefully I don't.
