Hey All


I Have A Dimension E521 And I Try To Put A AMD Quad Core 9950 @ 2.6ghz It Doesn't Turn On It Just Stays Running And In One Time I Let The PC Run To See If It Was The PC That Didn't Recognize And Went I Took Out Because It Didn't Work I The Processor Was Really Hot ................. What Is The Mean? That Mean That I Need Another Motherboard?????? Oh What Is My Problem????

This My Specs:
AMD 64x2 3600 1.90ghz( Want To Upgrade To A 9950 Quad Core)
4GB Ram
Evga 8800GT
500W PSU

your mobo is probably not compatible with the mobo

check Dell's website to see if there is a bios update or something for the board

Indeed I see nothing that indicates he could use any Quad Core AMD Phenom CPU.
Here are the Processor types that his board is compatible with
