I have a quick question, I do not plan on ever OC'ing my CPU is there any point of going through the hassel of removing the stock heatsink/fan and installing an after-market one?
Just outta curiosity how much work is it to do that?
Nope no point, unless the current fan is noisy. Then opting for a more silent fan and heat sink would be good. Otherwise just stick with what you have.

nah. unless you get a huge one where you need to remove the mobo to put a backing plate then it will take 5-10mins. and your pc will run cooler and quieter (if you buy a quiet fan)
something like this for $20. i have one, its good enough and quiet enough and dropped my temps by like 10degs c. fan clips are a bit fiddley but they all are. spending more would be a waste imho
For general purpose use such as surfing the Internet, email, and family photos a stock cpu heatsink is fine. For extended gaming sessions you might want to consider replacing the stock heatsink and thermal compound.
Here is a link to a very good web site about cpu heatsinks that you might want to take a look at:
Replacing a cpu heatsink and thermal compound is easy and does not take much time. I use alcohol and q-tips to remove old thermal compound. The old compound comes off very easily.
