HD making scratch noise on shutdown

So i have a WD internal and a Seagate external. Both of these drives make a scratch noise when i shut them off. It sounds like a spinning cd that would hit something like when you move your xbox while its on(do not try that at home or it will kill your cd ) I don't know if its a normal noise or if they're both about to go. The external HD is not even a year old whereas the interal is about 1 week old.

Make immediate backup if you can. Use another computer if needed, from someone else if necessary.
