Hi,
I am currently running an Athlon 64 X2 3800 and I am wanting to upgrade to a faster processor. I am looking at either the Athlon 64 X2 5000 or the Athlon 64 X2 6000. I am leaning toward the 6000 but I have heard that they run hot, but I do plan to purchase a fan and heatsink with it. Is the X2 6000 worth the extra $30?

System Specs:
Mobo: ASUS M2N-SLI socket AM2
Power: Corsairs 650w
Ram: 4g Corsairs

Thanks,
Tbone

If it'll take it then yeah, it's worth it. The newer 6000+ runs a fair bit cooler. I'm still using my old 125Watt 6000+, and it's yet to overheat in the nearly 2 years since I bought it.
