I like ARCTIC COOLING Freezer XTREME because it's massive, has 120mm fan, reasonably priced, and more importantly easy to install. The only problem I see with it is that it has low speed fan(1500 rpm) which doesn't pump out a lot of heat with OCed core i7.

Since the fan is custom fitted/inserted into the heat-sinker, it's hard to replace it with another high rpm fan like 2000 rpm.

I read the review of ARCTIC COOLING Freezer XTREME and they mentioned replacing the fan with high rpm and the results are very comparable to the top of line ThermalRight's one.

Anyone has done that?

Thanks!

if you do change, you'll need a 120x25mm fan
