I'm trying to connect my work laptop to my home network and it doesn't seem to work correctly.
While trying to connect to my router (a NetGear) it just continually says 'Acquiring network address'
Then i tried to connect to the router w/ an Ethernet cable. Under 'Network Connections' it says its connected under 'Local Area Connection' but i can't access any website or ping an address.
I'm at a loss on what to do next.

Check to see if your computer has static IP addresses assigned to the network adapters.
Sounds like a DNS IP address issue for the wired connection.

Hi,

According to me, there is one site opendns.com.org, where you will get IPs you can go through that Ips, and let see if it works for you and solves your problem.

Thanks!! :)

What the hell are you talking about? Why did newbies come to this forum and answer a bunch of posts with jibberish?

IF YOU DON"T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT, DON'T POST!
