Not a bad deal at all if you have the PSU to power this beast.
August 29, 2008 6:39:24 AM

yeah good for u man:D  I just got another 4870 X2 (my friend's) PALIT and Crossfire them, not getting much more fps (GRID except which killed the GX2) but lose in COD4:S so I think I'm gonna stick to the GX2 since thats the game I play. Don't expect much from Crysis lol 1 GX2 beats 4870 X2 CrossX:p

Well, wait for the new drivers that will help the 4870x2 scale past 2 GPUS

Guys, I'm gonna be honest with you, im pretty much taking it in the butt here by selling this thing so low. I mean, just a few months ago I paid 600$ for this card, and now I can't get peanuts for it. I realize that technology is a fast paced game, where products are often bested quickly soon after their release. But this is embaressing, will anybody take it for 205$ shipped? I need a couple hundo to finish my crossfire rig.

I'd take it, but its pointless till i get vista, because a second GX2 is automatically disabled under XP...

Keep in mind, these things are now sometimes under $250AR brand new now. We all take a big hit buying high end hardware. That said, someone should be willing to give you that $195 as it's some mighty performance and easily a fair price you are asking. Why not ebay it. May find someone who doesn't realize the price has dropped and bids more than your asking price here . Good luck.

this is a bangin deal, is the warranty with bfg transferable?

August 31, 2008 3:43:58 AM

I don't know about the BFG warranty, I never bothered to register it. I will not do Ebay because I would rather sell it to someone who knows what they are doing with it. And yes it is a bargain deal, keep in mind, this card is still one of the very best. So.... make me an offer! I gotta sell it.

I've got a Mint gum for sale, 150$

99 fps in Crysis Very High:)

September 1, 2008 6:11:36 AM

I guess everybody here is either too poor or already have a high end vidcard. I really would like to buy it, but my 8800GTS 320MB is more than enough for me.

Your best bet is with ebay. A quick check shows some selling for $200+. Keep in mind, however, that you can buy a brand new 9800GX2 for $250.

I'm just going to keep it and use it as a paperweight in a couple years.

Thats a great price I. I just ordered 2 7800GTX for 40 dollars on Ebay, I was going to try SLI and see what happens. I wish I waited now.

Well, i would buy it, but I'm in Spain !!! fack. Globalization they say, free markets they say. I hate bureaucrats and their petty rules.

Wow it's amazing for how low they're selling them now, don't many people realize that the 9800GX2 is still a beastly card? And isn't the 9800GX2 better than a 4870? I would buy it if it had the warranty, if my PSU wouldn't be stressed so much and if I didn't had the 8800gt.

I'm curious on why are you selling the card? It's not like other cards will give a massive performance jump on todays games from what this one has to offer.

Very much so. 9800gx2 is the second best performing single card on market, under 4870x2 and above gtx280.

But it's old, and not as "cool." So kids don't buy it. :D

The only draw back with the 9800GX2 is that in some games it doesn't scale very well and high resolution usually takes a major hit.

I wonder if the 9800GX2 price will fall below $200?

NVIDIA probably did it to ensure that you don't run out of RAM or something...

I have a buddy who brought 64GB Vista, but realised he can get it for free (MSDN, one of the perks to being a comp-sci student :D ), so he's shipping me his old copy. If all goes well, I *might* be interested...
September 2, 2008 6:21:34 PM

Can ya ship it to India? I'll take it off your hands for $180 :D

IM me whenever. Cheers.
September 2, 2008 6:30:13 PM

I might be interested in NY.....
not sure though
