Pci express x16 and 2.0 confusion

I have a radeon HD4850 and it supports Pci express 2.0 standard.

Will it encounter any bottlenecks (lower performance) if it is plugged into a PCI Express x16 slot?

No, a 16x PCIe 1.1 connection has enough bandwith to keep any current GPU happy.

the differance is currently negligble between 16x PCIe 1.x to 2.0 at best. Nothing on the market can max out x16 PCIe 1.x though 8x at the 1.x specs is another story and even so the bottle neck is fairly minimal. next gen could be an entirely new story though.
