Ok so I am about to buy the 780i mobo but does anyone know if the thermalright ultra 120 with 2 fans on it will fit on the board with the northbridge fan installed? that is the deciding factor if I am going to buy it or not. Thanks any input will be appreciated

Its a pretty big heatsink. What is the exact model of your motherboard? Also, do you mind me asking why your getting a 780i chipset?

the motherboard would be the xfx 780i a1 version I am getting a 780i chipset because it supports 3 16x pcie when in tri sli because I have 3 9800gtx's and it has pcie 2.0 I am open for suggestions tho nothing is set in stone thanks

yea it should be fine with the standard NB fan, not sure about any custom ones tho! I know for a fact that this one will tho, and its a good one, average load temps of around 30:

I have no better suggestions, don't know much about SLI, but for what you want this seems lie a good MoBo. All i can say is that NForce chipsets dont overclock well. Is that what you want the heatsink for?
