I'm working on a beat up computer (damaged durin shipment). Here are the specs

MSI K9A2 CF mobo
Phenom 9550
4 GB mushkin ram
gigabyte HD 3850

The motherboard was dead and i replaced that. The video card took a beating too but it does still "work".

I can run prime 95 on all cores without a problem. Almost. When I start 3dMark some instances of prime will record and error. And the video card will make a whirring noise (at least i think it's the video card). It also makes the same noise when running 3d mark and eventually the computer will restart. I had a replacement video card ordered but that turned out to be doa so now i'm left wondering what's wrong with the computer. Any suggestions on what to do?

Thanks in advance.
