Win 7 32 bit crashing (BSOD) while using Huawei usb broadband

Hello,my computer crashes while I plug in my Huawei e1820 usb device. Stop error (0xC0000005, 0x92802703)

ewusbnet.sys - address 92802703 base at92800000, datestamp4adef47f

My computer has Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller ver: 7.46.610.2011

The message I get from microsoft in my action center is to update my drivers or check if device conflicts.

a. using this device on my office computer running win XP does not cause any problems

b. connecting my home computer to my office LAN does not cause BSOD at all.

Had AVG anti virus - uninstalled it & had microsoft security essentials installed.

Appreciate if I can find the upgraded device driver or a solution to this problem. Many thanks for your help

  1. Hello,

You can try couple of things:

    1. Uninstall Huawei broadband software after disconnecting the USB
    2. Reboot, then connect the Huawei modem to some other USB port and reinstall driver (also check whether your service provider has any patch available for windows 7)

Have you updated your OS to SP1? If not please do so.
  2. Archean ... thanks.

    Os updated to SP1.

    1. Have uninstalled software after disconnecting the USB
    2. Have rebooted & reinstalled - however from the same USB port - WILL try & use the other ports
    3. Have already informed the service provider 2 days ago - no response

Will keep you posted - it is the device or the driver!!!
