i have a 750watt psu and i need to know if the 4870x2 will work in my xps 420!! help please!!!! i have the dell motherboard i dont want to buy a new one please help me i really need to know if its compatible please help!!

Psu should be enough. Motherboard is compatible as long as it has a pciex16 slot.

psu should be good enough...

Also make sure that your PSU has a PCIE 6 pin and 8 pin power adapater. This card requires both. I am running my 4870x2 on a 610 watt PSU so you are fine there.

Most brands package a molex to 6pin pcie converter with 4870x2. Some companies, like Gigabyte, include both molex to 6pin and 8pin converters.

hi, i want to get a new graphics card like the 4870 and dell told me i couldnt get this becuase i this reuiqres 500w + and dell xps 420 can only be upgraded up to 425w, so i was wandering how you got a 700w power supply in ur xps 420, could you tell me what power supply you got, thanks
