Hi,

My mother-in-law has a Palm V and is interesting in being able to view and
edit MS Word and Excel files. I'm aware of Documents to Go but it requires
Palm OS 5 and I belive her Palm V would be OS 3.5.

Is there anyway to get a version of Documents to go that would work is Palm
V? Any other solutions?

Thanks in Advance,

WEB

Maybe there's an older version of Docs To Go at <http://www.oldversion.com/>?

eBay (and cheap there). Any version of "Documents to Go" through
version 6 will work. You might want to check the clearance bins at
Staples or other office supply stores -- I found a copy of "DataViz
Office," version 6, for $10 at a Staples.

If you don't like eBay, "Documents to Go" is still available at
Amazon.com -- or look around on the Internet.

I once had a Vx and a foldable keyboard, which I used to write and edit
a fair amount of documents. I tried Documents To Go, but it became very
slow when the number of pages reached 3 or 4. Maybe later versions has
been improved?

Anyway, I used WordSmith instead and found it to be a lot faster for
documents with several pages. Do try to edit larger documents, before
you select your editor.

Thanks for all the replies. She does work on rather large documents so
we'll give it a test before heading out of town.

Thanks again,

Some people write books using WordSmith. Of course, I think they may dump
chunks of it into the word processor as they go.
