No tcase temp recognised with speedfan

Last response: in CPUs

Hi,

Im trying to setup proper temperature monitoring on my PC. To do this im using computronixes Core 2 Quad and Duo Temperature Guide on this forum.

My system Specs from cpuz are

Intel Core 2 Duo 3GHz E6850
Intel Q35 Express Chipset
Dell Optiplex 755 motherboard
SCH5514 Super I/O controller

Im using speedfan as recommended by the guide but the problem is that it is only giving me Core 0 and Core 1 temps. No temperature for "Tcase" is given. Why is this?

Seriously confused

Sippy

Sorry but how do you do that?

Ive read that the DTS readings are accessible from a register inside the CPU and therefore no Super IO controller is needed to access them. My Super I/O controller ( SCH5514) does not contain sensor access features. Is this why i cant read Tcase?
