My computer has not been booting up lately. I disconnected everything and made sure that I have the IDE cable plugged in. It goes the process of detecting the IDE then it will detect my my IDE hard drive. Then it it does "Detecting IDE"
"Detecting IDE" again then it will just freeze up. I tried two different hard disk, even did a reset on the Bios but it still freezes. I am running out of options right now and I am not sure what steps I should take next. I swapped out the battery, that didn't help. The fact that the Bios detect the Hard drive leads me to believe that it's not the IDE cables because it also detect the cd/dvd drives when I had them plugged in. I try pressing the "DEL" and "F12" key at the POST to try to enter the BIOS but that doesn't work at all. Anyone has any ideas on what I should do?
