Does this seem like a good batch of parts for the update?
I included the raid because my last mobo raid failed and i lost 400gbs of photos, music and data. I know i need to also back up i plan on adding a 1tb esata external to take care of that.

Top notch selection.

I can't stress backup enough. Use Windows backup for OS & back up your files to another drive regularly. Better yet, look into Acronis True Image 10.
