Hej! I got the following setup : Case : Antec Sonata II Moterhboard : Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R Memmory : Corsair TWIN2X 6400C4 DDR2, 2048MB CL4 CPU : Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz PowerSuply : Hyper TypeR 480W I do not really see any point in buyin a Intel i5 750 right now, the diffrence is not that big. Thereby I have decided to clock my Q6600. To do this i need to upgrade the orginal fan, and I have looked at the following : Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2 or Xigmatek HDT-S1283 What fan should I choose? Maby there is some other fans that do a better jobb? BestRegards
Between those two the Xigmatek would be the best choice for cooling performance. It's shown here at 6th place. http://www.frostytech.com/top5heatsinks.cfm The best air cooler right now is the Prolimatech Megahalems, listed in 1st on the same site.
Aha thanks, I dident know about that list. Can i trust it? The Prolimatech Megahalems(with fan) simes like a fine fan, but the price will be senificant higher then the Xigmatek. Besides the Megahalems, the first one on the list that I can get is the Xigmatek HDT-S1283. Maby this fan sounds alot higher then the stock fan?
I cant finde Zalman CNPS9500LED or Scythe Mugen II on this list, does it mean that thay are not good enouth?
the scyth mugen is a good one it was there but i estimate still in the top 15,the zalman 9 series are crap the newer 10 series are much better
Okay? So Xigmatek is beter then the Scythe Mugen II? Will these fit on Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R?
Zallman 9 series are anything but crap. I've got my Q6600 overclocked to 3.6 prime stable for 24hrs running around 64-66c accross the board on a CNPS9700. I had a 9500 before but it just couldn't quite handle it..
