New Build Blue Screen Help Please

Just put together my first build ever. Got it all set up and it booted. I installed Vista all was fine. Installed the ATI drivers for my Sapphire 4850 then restarted. Computer boots back up and I change the display to 1280X960 or whatever. I restart and the computer tosses up a blue screen and reboots. "Attempt to reset display driver failed". I havnt even installed the mobo drivers or anything so I can't go look for a new set of drivers. Should I reformat already and do everything over and install the mobo drivers first.

Heres how it goes.
Computer boots --> Get a scroll down of PCI Listing ---> Goes to Progress bar with Microsoft underneath --> Goes to blue screen and reboots

Update your bios, it fixes issues with the new P45 motherboards and new video cards (8xxx/9xxx and 38/48xx series cards)

What you are experiencing is pretty common with the old BIOS

I've been searching around seems like a lot of people have had problems with this. I've looked but where do I get the new bios. I'm going to go into safe mode and update via a flash drive, hopefully this works.

When you bootup, you have the option to goto BIOS, or the quickflash (or whatever its called). Put the BIOS (from the gigabyte website) onto a flashdrive and boot into the flash utility (its a program built into the motherboard) and select the BIOS file. Then hit update.

Got that all set up but for some strange reason my lan ports are still not working

Any chance any one would know why the lan ports are not working on my GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P45 that has dual Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) network adapters.
