Hey

I bought a Creative Audigy soundcard because my microphone had static...

I've put it into the PCI slot and installed the drivers but I can't get the microphone working.

If I have my headset microphone, do I still plug it into the front on my Antec 900?

There are only 4 holes on the back of the soundcard and 3 of them are being used by my 5.1 sound, there's 1 blue hole left but the colour of my microphone input is pink.

do you have a usb headset? if so, you can plug it in any usb port, the front of the 900 will work.

make sure it's not some simple problem that is not making your microphone work. check your volume control and make sure your mic isn't checked with the mute checkbox.

the hole that the microphone goes into the pink colored one, so the blue hole won't work.

also make sure there are no conflicting issues with different sound programs as those can make a mic not work either.

ex. a webcam program that uses the webcam as the mic, and not your actually headset mic.
