I have an Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 CPU at a base 2.20 GHz with 1GB RAM and an Intel 945 GCZ motherboard. What should I do to overclock my processor ? Please post detailed steps to overclock.

Step 1: Read this:
HOWTO: Overclock C2Q (Quads) and C2D (Duals) - Guide v1.6.1

Step 2: If you would ask for something more specific, such as vcore, nb voltage, ram multiplier/speed, etc, then come back here.

I will admit that I expected your Step 1 but figured that the rest would have been:

Step 2: ???????

Step 3: Profit.

On a more serious note, that guide is what got me going on overclocking a few years back and I owe it many thanks. So yes, +1 to amnotanoobie.
