hi guys,

here is my problem,
i THINK that my memory is " Corsair TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHX (Timing 4-4-4-12) " (see this: http://www.corsair.com/_datasheets/TWIN2X4096-6400C4DHX.pdf ) i mean i did buy a 6400C4DHX, and on the memory's heat sink it is written that the timing is 4-4-4-12 , but in the bios setup timing is 5-5-5-18 ...

and this is a screenshot of my bios setup

why the timing in the bios setup is "5-5-5-18" ?
it does not match my memory's specs.
actually the Corsair TWIN2X4096-6400C"5"DHX 's timing is 5-5-5-18... not mine! ( see this: http://www.corsair.com/_datasheets/TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX.pdf )

am i right?! am i using a 6400C5DHX?!!

Those are your JEDEC settings. Run CPUZ so you can see the JDEC and EPP settings of your ram. If CPUZ says you have a EPP of 4-4-4-12 than that is what the memory was rated for. The problem is that by default the Mobo will set your timings by the JDEC setting. What you have to do is manually set the correct timings, voltage, and command rate in the bios. Don't worry it's easy.

Here is the link to CPUID to check those settings.
