Solved Question about SATA Tags: SATA Hard Drives Motherboards Storage Last response: January 3, 2010 4:02 AM in Storage Share burnley14 January 3, 2010 4:00:34 AM This is probably an embarrassingly simple question, but do SATA hard drives and SATA optical drives plug into the same ports on a motherboard? I know that both are listed as "SATA" drives and there are SATA ports on the MB, but I'm second guessing myself now and don't want to do anything stupid in my first build. Thanks in advance.
