1. 4GB of DDR2-1066MHz @ 5-5-5-15
or
2. 6GB of DDR2-800MHz @ 4-4-4-12

Mostly video editing, photos, and music, my only gaming is FSX.

6 GB would be my choice... unless your doing heavy overclocking on an old LGA 775 setup... you won't need the 1066 ram...

It depends on what you're doing. If you just play games, you will probably be better off with 4 GB of faster RAM. If you use programs that needs lots of RAM (editing photos, videos, music, whatever) the 6 GB will serve you better because they will reduce the number of accesses to the hard drive.

Sorry guys, I should have added more information. I do 90% video editing and photos, very little gaming and it's FSX. I purchased the 4GB (2x2) Kingston HyperX DDR2-1066 on sale for $61.99, thinking I could run it with two sticks (2x1) of my Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR2-1066 giving me a total of 6GB of Ram. Both brands are listed at DDR2-1066 5-5-5-15 2.2v. My 4GB (4x1) Tracers will run at 1066 2.2v 5-5-5-15. I can not get the Kingston to run at 1066. I even tried it by itself setting timings, voltage, and speed manually and it would not boot past the ASUS splash screen. I raised the NB voltage to 1.51v and still no post. The Kingston 1066 will post if bios is set to auto, but at 800MHz. The best I have been able to do is the following
Dimms A1-1GB, A2-2GB, B1-1GB, B2-2GB @ 800MHz 4-4-4-12 and 2.2v

I hate to take the memory back because it is not on my MB's QVL so I kinda bought it just hoping I could get it to run together.

Any suggestions, and be kind!!
