Error in installing windows xp

Hello,in my laptop there is windows xp but in Italy language ....now i want to install windows xp in english ...........but when i try to do i got an error message 'no hard disk ' i have sata HD in my laptop please help me ......

Hi, experiencing the same problem. you need to download drivers for the sata drive as xp does not recognise them (the os is older than the HD). Then use a program (courtesy of google) called nlite to add the drivers for the sata drive on to a cd image to burn on a new disc with xp. Otherwise you'd have to put the drivers on a floppy which have just about died out!! Problem is finding the drivers!! They are different for each laptop/computer too.

Hi Chris , i'm really thank for ur reply , i installed XP to my laptop by changing my laptop's SATA mode .... actually it's more easy than downloading drivers..... any way dear thank u sooooo much for ur reply.....i really appreciate it.....
