Ive decided ( after popular censensus) to buy a q6600 but there are several variations of it. Can someone please explain the variations between them and the restrictions.

Which is ideal? go stepping? And what shall i look out for esp if im planning to overclock?

There are only two steppings available for Q6600: B3 and G0. The Q6600 (new) you buy now will almost always be G0 stepping, which features a better thermal output (TDP 95W vs. TDP 105W for B3). Other than that, everything is the same.

the G0 is listed as being SLACR edition
