Hello.

I am boggled here. I have always build my own boxes and I have had obstacles to overcome in the past, but this one has me perplexed. First let me list the components:

Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM

SAPPHIRE 100242L Radeon HD 4850 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail

AMD Phenom 9850 BLACK EDITION 2.5GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Quad-Core Processor Model HD985ZXAGHBOX - Retail

MSI K9A2 Platinum AM2+/AM2 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit English for System Builders 1pk DSP OEI DVD - OEM

Antec Nine Hundred Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail

Antec TPQ-850 850W ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply - Retail

mushkin XP 4GB ASCENT w/ eVCI technology (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 996619 - Retail

I have the computer hooked up to a Samsung T240HD monitor via DVI. I have a Samsung external DVD/CD drive via USB with new Vista disk. I added a speaker from an old box to the MB to see if I get any beeping, which I currently get none. When I power-up drives start spinning, external drives checks, LED are on the MB are white and green, vidcard has two red LED (need to check what led might mean) but the machine does nothing after that. No beeps, no output to the display.

Anyone have any idea what I might have overlooked.

thanks for your thoughts,

Jamie
