my Q has to do with the bios setting or anything else I can do. I do not have the performance I expected from this system. Any suggestion?

On a serious note, you need to provide something that would let people here compare your machine`s performance to what it "should" be. Things like SuperPI score, 3dMark score, windows boot time etc. What makes you think it doesnt perform? Also i dont see HDD or GFX card mentioned, what are they?

What did you expect?
Why not OC? The E8400 can do 3.6-3.8Ghz easy.

this is best board in graphic perfomance , please use core 2 duo 3 ghz or higher,better you will use zotac graphic card 9800 gt or XFX radeon HD 4770
you don't worry about this board performance,you check your graphic card
