Okay, I purchased a i7 920 D0 B# 3849A866. I hear it's not the best of the 3849's but it still oc's very well.
I plan to OC to a stable 4-4.2ghz 24/7.
I am purchasing a Mega with pull/push - thinking of these fans http://www.frozencpu.com/products/84...12-29_dBA.html They are a bit pricey but meh, I like the specs. Not huge on alot of fan noise especially with two fans ass hugging each other.
I know I do like the ASUS P6T Deluxe v2..
So, it comes down to the OC +
My plans for GPU's are as such in the mean time I plan on purchasing a ATI 5850 for the future I would consider doing a two 5850 crossfire or later selling the 5850 and purchasing a 5870x2 when they come out.
Also thinking of picking up a http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16829102019 sound card in the future and possibly getting a killer network gaming card.. but from the looks of those network cards they don't really improve the quality as much as they advertise especially for the price.
So yeah, I don't really care about a huge warranty and such because a wave of new boards should come out anyway once the gulftowns are released included the new Sata and usb 3.0..
So what's good for my overclocking and gaming needs?
btw I love the layout of the bloodrage but the 3dim is kind of a negative if I do want to upgrade my ram.. I mainly game but I do play around with APS and fruityloops quite a bit also. Price isn't really an issue but I didn't really want to go past $300 because of the future boards on the horizon.
