Matsonic MS9337C motherboard

I want to use a P4 2.93ghz in this mobo - using a celeron 2.2ghz right now and it works very well - I installed the P4 but nothing - this mobo only has the cmos jumper - does that need to be cleared first? the manual says the mobo will take this cpu, but manuals don't always tell the truth

any info will be appreciated

Is the bus speed 400Mhz for the Celeron and 533Mhz for the P4?
