Have just bought and installed a Saphire HD3850 AGP and am very happy with it. I have a VF900-Cu LED left over from my previous graphics card and I am wondering if this cooler may well help improve cooling on my new graphics card?

Anyone have any experience with the afore mentioned setup or indeed any knowledge on the idea as a whole?

Regards

Tim

I have the same cooler on my 1950xtx, used it on a 3870 until it had to be RMA'ed and yes the temps were lower. My temps dropped mostly on load, not huge but 4-5c max. The quiet factor however is annother story, even at max it will be quietier than the stock cooler. Go for it you will be glad you did.

The 3850's not a particularly noisy or hot card. Go for the cooler since it's free anyway, but don't hold out high hopes for a massive difference in heat or noise.

the zalman has taken the temps down from 44 to 33 so all in all a decent outcome. As for noise, well the drone of my other fans mean it is hard to distinguish the noise of the zalman lol. Cheers guys
