Sata 2/pata 1

my computer is dell bendium 4, 514rams. it shut down completely and when booted its not recognising SATA 2 and PATA 1 drives. i have try all the possible ways but still no result. please help.

Do you get anything on the screen? Any beeps?

If nothing on the screen, try this:
Build outside the case with power, beeper, cpu and mobo. Listen for beeps. Keep adding components and listen for beeps.
