MB and CPU match

Hello,
I would like to put together an Intel DG33BU motherboard and an Intel Q9550. If I use a quad core on this mb it has a FBS of 1066MHz. The cpu I want to use has a FSB of 1333MHz. Will they work together, or do I need a processor at 1066? Thanks in advance.

They will work but you are limiting youself. Try to get one with 1333, or you will just be wasting that extra 233MHz

If you're strapped for cash, you don't need an Intel board. Other brands are just as good. I use an ecs (the brand everyone trashes) with Intel g33 chipset and it works fine for me, and was only $19.99 closeout at Fry's.

Intel boards are great but that's true, you can get another brand. Just go to newegg and do a guided search until you come up with something you want, but do get a 1333 board, it will be worth it

If you can afford $320 for a Q9550 I assume you can afford more than $20 for a motherboard. Check out the Asus P5Q Pro or the GA-EP45-UD3P for example.
